Hi all. First time posting here, but long-time lurker.

Anyways, I present to you a challenge: I'm looking for a mouse-- not just any 'ol mouse-- the perfect mouse. I have no allegiance to any manufacturer, but the following must be met--

--Detent "clicky"/"crunchy"/notched scroll wheel. Mouse wheels click when they scroll. That's just what they do. I tried a few smooth-scrollers in the past and couldn't stand 'em. The harder the clicks the better.
--Back/forward buttons. Could be more, but at least one "side" button in addition to the right-, left-, and wheel-press buttons.
--Small-ish. Relative term I know, but ~5-6in long by 3-4in wide by 2-3in deep?
--Non-laser tracking, preferably BlueTrack or comparable product. Been using a Microsoft Wireless Mobile 3500, and while the overall quality is so-so, the tracking and pointing "feel" is superb. Doesn't have to be extreme, but should be competent for games/graphic work/similar; it can't be jumping around or sluggish like the Logitech M510 (bought one, hated it). Optical is fine, but I have a fear of lasers because they kept skipping tracking paths while gaming/doing close-up graphic work.
--Wireless preferred, but not at the cost of any of the above.
--Gaming Mice? Sure. Though primarily for everyday use and non-gaming things, gaming mice are welcome in this thread.

Price isn't an issue: I've tried almost everything in the $30-50 range and nothing seems competent; as long as it's within reason.

Why is this random wasting your time and attention span? As much as I'd like to, I can't buy every mouse on the planet and try 'em all out. So I thought I'd ask and see if there's anyone out there with something like what I'm looking for. Thanks so much in advance, and happy hunting :)

well...

i would say the original razer deathadder 3.5g, or if you dont mind using razer synapse software the newer versions.

if you have a palm or fingertip grip and like mice of this size then its worth considering.

has:
-it has a prominent notched scroll wheel.
-it has two large easy to push side buttons
-its about 5" long, 2.75" wide and 1.75" tall so fits into your prefered sizing (although its considered a larger mouse)
-it uses an infared sensor

doesnt have:
-its not wireless but the cord is long enough that it shouldnt be an issue.

--------

a few other ideas

microsoft intellimouse. it might be old and basic but it sure does get the job done for a great price.
cm storm spawn. its a little on the small side but seems to...

small, cheap, and plenty of buttons: Logitech G300 Optical Gaming Mouse-also optical

I think the best thing for you would be a roccat mouse, they are small, have clunky scroll wheels, they have really great macros setups. Feel free to look them up as their are a lot of them that fit your needs, just depends on personal preference hence me not putting them down here
