Hi,

I've seen a few others ask this and get some good answers so I thought I'd give it a shot. So I just bought Watch Dogs (love the game), but my PC can't handle it. I'm getting constant framerate drops which is making it unplayable. I built my PC back in 2011, so it may be time for an upgrade. I was thinking about getting 2 GTX 770s in SLI, but wanted to ask and see if I would still be CPU limited. The links for the upgrades I'm thinking of doing are below. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or think its worth investing in a new motherboard/cpu/etc. Please advise.Thanks.

My current specs are as follows:
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 33
GPU: EVGA GTX 570 1.2 GB ---> upgrade to x2 GTX 770?
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40 GHz
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 x2 ---> upgraded to x4 (12Gb)
PSU: 1000W

i am not sure i read this correctly but you would need more than 4Gb ram for gaming as your os and other stuff will probily take up 2GB leaving you with 2GB for gaming and watchdogs recommends 6Gb of ram

Ok, about the GPU(s). Right now what you need to decide is if you want to SLI 770's or get one 780/780ti

Prices:
SLI 770: Around $800
GTX 780: Around $500
GTX 780ti: Around: $700

Pros of SLI: You will have more power then a 780. Possibly a 780ti??? (Don't quote me on the 780 ti)
Some games benefit from SLI rather then a single gpu.

Cons of SLI: Some games don't get better performance, limits upgrade-ability, more money then one 780, hotter gpus and more power.

Overall: If you SLI you will have more power then a single 780 for sure, but the cards will run hotter, it will require more power and in the future you will have to buy all new cards.

With the single cards however they can run any game like butter at 1080p and will run most games on a 1440p monitor at 50fps such as Crysis. The best thing about buying a single card now is that later you can buy another 780/780ti and last another 2 years.

Ok now to the CPU. Watch Dogs from what I have read is a very CPU intensive game. It has good graphics and is an OPEN WORLD game. To run all settings on ultra it has been said you will need a i7 4770k for optimal performance. *Ouch* However many people say they will stick with their i7 2600k. If you upgrade your Cpu you will also need a new motherboard.

For the RAM you don't need 12gb if you are just gaming. Right now most if not all games only need 8gb so I would spend my money on another stick of 4gb and use the rest elsewhere.

I would say start with the GPU and read a little about Watch Dog's cpu requirements. Unless you want to play on Ultra I don't think you need to upgrade the CPU.

Also....... What is your budget that will help me a lot.
