Nvidia GTX 750 OR the Nvidia GTX 750ti. both of these do not need a power line from the PSU directly. They draw their 75w from the PCI-e slot only and should not stress your PSU to much.

Here are the best graphics cards for that price.

$100-150

AMD (Runs hotter and worst driver support than Nvidia)

Sapphire R7-260X
(Sapphire is a tier 1. They are said to be the best brand for AMD graphics cards)
PassMark Score: 3,003
$125 with $10 rebate

Nvidia (Costs alot more than AMD)

EVGA GeForce GTX 750
(EVGA is a tier 1 brand. They are said to be the best Nvidia graphics card brand)
PassMark Score: 3,303
$110

$150-200

AMD (Runs hotter and worst driver support than Nvidia)

PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 (The 270X us just a rebranded HD 7870)
(PowerColor is la tier 3 brand. They aren't the best brand for customer support and probably isn't built as well as other brands)
PassMark Score: 4,261
$190 with $30 rebate

Nvidia (Costs alot more than AMD)

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660
(Gigabyte is like a tier 2 brand. Decent, but not the best)
PassMark Score: 4,119
$188 with $20 rebate.

$200-250

AMD (Runs hotter and worst driver support than Nvidia)

XFX R9-280
(XFX is a tier 1 brand. They are said to be the best)
PassMark Score: 4,800-5,100 (I couldn't find the score, so I had to calculate it)
$230 with $30 rebate

Nvidia (Costs alot more than AMD)

Asus GeForce GTX 760
(Asus is a tier 1.5-2. They good computer brand, but they are kinda new with the graphics cards. DirectCU II is a good cooler)
PassMark Score: 5,010
$240 with $10 rebate

You will need a new power supply for the graphics cards that I listed above.

EVGA 500b for the $100-150 cards.

Corsair CX600 for the $150-200 cards.

SeaSonic S12II for the $200-250 cards (Optional).

All the tier stuff is just my opinion of the brand from all the research I have done in the past.

And you can see how the cards preform with these links. (Make sure to check out the GPUs that I listed in this post)

Yes, as said. The 750 or 260 will be about your highest options with that PSU

Many of the suggested cards will not work in your system without a PSU upgrade. So Please be careful On which one you buy. A 300w PSU will only handle the Nvidia 750 or 750ti maximum.

here is the spec link to prove no PSU change is necessary with the 750ti : http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

Go on amazon and look for an R9 270 they come from about $165 and they are a very good card, don't worry about thermals or drivers. The drivers were only bad back in the ATI days the drivers for AMD are good now and if you contact AMD they will get straight on to any problems, also don't worry about thermals because in that such low tier thermals aren't a problem on any card even if they are hotter than others you still don't have to worry, also the R7 270 is crossfire compatible unlike the GTX 750 and 750 Ti so you can add another later if you feel like you need more power.

Yes it will need a new PSU. This I mentioned before. The only gaming card that you can use in your machine as it sits right now is the Nvidia GTX 750 and Nvidia GTX 750Ti because they only require a 300W PSU. Any bigger or AMD equivalent to these and you need to change the PSU.

Frame rate will vary due to CPU motherboard ram speed and a few other factors. If you run BF4 on a 750Ti you could hold 60 FPS on medium graphics.

the Corsair "CX" series PSU's are on the low end for build quality. I strongly urge you to get a good Quality PSU as this part can be moved from system to system as you build/get new ones.

Other Corsair PSU's are good though, Just not the CX series. This is why they are so cheap in cost.

This is a 600 watt gold psu that will handle the card and maybe another you can choose the 500watt but just to be safe select the 600 watt, its good quality silverstone is a nice brand go for that, good luck :)
Alot of people claim with the R9 270 to get 60 max and 30 minimum fps on bf4 on ultra
