I have recently acquired a nice 21.5" monitor that I have been using with a DVI connection. Up until now, I have been using a 32" HDTV with an HDMI cable. I purchased a 25' HDMI cable so that I could use both (one for work, one for media/gaming). I have a decent amount of experience with display configurations, however, in this case Windows and Catalyst Control Center will not allow me to duplicate or extend my desktop. (See attached pictures). What is going on? I have 2x Crossfired 6870's. I know both displays and the HDMI cable work because I can display my screen on one or the other, just not both.
Thanks for your replies

You have them both plugged into the same card, don't you? I have a 32"/HDMI and a 24"/HDMI off the card in my sig below. They are both plugged into the DVI headers via DVI to HDMI cables.

Yes, same card. One DVI, one HDMI. I could borrow an HDMI to DVI adapter from work I suppose...but I'd rather it just work how its supposed to..

Wow ok, I feel stupid now, but I just switched the DVI to the top one (next to the HDMI) and it works now. I didn't realize I had connected it to the bottom one before adding the HDMI. (My computer is huge and in a dark corner).

So, you were plugged into different cards?

No, same card. It has two DVI and an HDMI. There is the HDMI and DVI side by side and the second DVI is under the first one. For whatever reason, it didnt like the DVI port it was plugged into, which was the lower one.
