My bought a r7 260x . I have a Corsair CX 500w PSU with pcie 6+2 cable. I'm pretty sure I just use that but the GPU also came with a 6pin to single 3pin molex cable.

Does that just mean that I Could run the GPU off the molex cable?

And I'm assuming using the PSU 6+2 pcie cable is optimal?

Edit:
Why did the GPU come with this molex cable? Will I never ever (realistically) use it and just toss it? I hate digging through a mess of old cables.

Just use the cable that's from the PSU, that's the most reliable way.

you should use the right pin, which is 6+2 pcie cable

the molex to pcie converter is usually used for old psu which has limited pcie pin
