Hello there!

I am currently in possession of a Asus M5A97 LE R2.0, and I wish to overclock my FX6300 that is in it. I would like not to get a new motherboard, as I only just recently acquired this one, but I do realize that the overclocking potential of this cpu is severely decreased due to my motherboard.

I read that one of the main problems of this motherboard is that there is no VRM cooling, thus overclocks are less stable.

If I place Enzotech Mos C10's on the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 VRM areas, will I be able to overclock better?

And if so, could someone please link me to an image or diagram of where I should be placing the Mos C10's?

Thank you!

I recommend no overclocking at all , on that board.

Thanks for the reply Blackbird. I just read your reply on another post with somewhat of the same topic.

If I do oc on this board, what are the consequences that I will be facing?

Could lead to damage of other components. The thermal design is so poor , don't risk it.

i think you would be better off investing in a VERY good 80mm fan to put directly, like barely touching/hanging over the VRM area.
