recently my rig has been overheating with any game I play to the point of where it shuts off. It started over heating to the point of shutting off last night when watch dogs released, well my normal temperatures usually are at 60c to 80c when gaming, but recently they sky rocketed to 90c and up causing my pc to shut down.
I am not over clocking here are my specs:
2x gtx760's via SLI
AMD FX-8120 eight core processor
6tb's of hard drive space
1300w power supply
34gigs of memory
my case is the throne from rosewell.
I recently changed the thermal paste so which leads me to believe it's a hardware issue like my power supply or processor.
any advice ? or any know how on why this may be happening?

Are you using the stock CPU cooler or an upgraded one? The stock may simply not be able to keep up anymore. Watch Dogs is a pretty serious game, maybe you just finally met the limit you can take your PC to.

The only thing I can think of is, monitor the fan speeds(there are apps for that) make sure the fan is doing its best before the cpu is shutting down(in other words, if it is not going to 100% speed, force it to) I had similar problems with my gpu heating and that is what I did. I forced the fans to 100%...
