Good evening guys,

As I get more into this idea, I am starting to understand the laptop I do everything on is not what I need for what I do.

I am looking for a 900-1100 at the most gaming/editing workstation for myself.

I will also be needing a monitor, keyboard and mouse which I have already went trough, $257.75 to keep away from the part list.

I will need all of this shipped to a P.O Box in Florida and hopefully shipped to Brazil, where I live. I'll take care of the whole taxes thing since it's our biggest problem here currently.

So for the build I am looking for something to run DayZ/Arma3/CS:GO while multi-tasking for music and such. As far as for a GFX card, I was thinking between a 760 or 770, haven't done any research on either yet so I'll leave that to you experts :)

So for the peripherals, which will add to to total cost, I have thought about a Logitech G500, a SIDEWINDER X4 and an Asus VS238H-P 23.0"

Do you guys think those are okay as far as for external components on a medium budget?

Like I said, these 3 componets will cost me $257.75 so whatever you build can't go over 800-900$

Thanks for reading and hope to see some good builds, please keep them on PcPartPicker.com since I find it very easy to mess around with :)

This is a better build that I put together for one of my irl friends. It all worked out good, and now he can play the games that has been wanting to play.

If you don't like this build, and you are looking at different builds, just make sure not to go with a AMD CPU.
I don't recommend them because they run very hot, and the cores are not well optimized. Because AMD failed to optimize these cores, even a Intel dual core can out preform a AMD 6 core while gaming (Like Battlefield 4).

you can start from this build

Sorry to break it to you, but for bf4, it takes a newer i5 to beat out a 6300. And no where even close is an i3.

With OP's budget, and fact he will be editing. There is no way I wouldn't recommend AMD. 6300 would be good 8320 would be ideal. And for editing it benches/rates just below an i7, and beats it in a few areas. For gaming, yes an i5 would be better, but not by much since that's dependent more on gpu than cpu. Since this is an editing/gaming build, and under 1k that means no i7 so pretty much best bet is 8320.
