Just started on my little project, and as my first time building a pc, I'm finding myself lacking in experiance. I've been wanting to build a gaming rig for years and only recently have I been able to find my self with both the money and the opportunity. So, in order to keep my ignorance from screwing me over. So if anybody with any experinance would look this over and spot anything that may cause some bottlenecking, know of a better part, or have any ideas on how i can shave some of the price tag off, that'd be great.

CPU:AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor-$189.98

MOB:Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard-$135.98

RAM:Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory-$74.98

OS Storage:Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive-$59.95

General Storage:Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive-$54.44

GPU:Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card-$189.99

PSU:SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply-$79.99

OS:Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)-$89.99

WiFi:Asus PCE-N53 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter-$35.79

I have two cases, some fans, and am working on reclaiming a power supply that will hopefully provide around 500 Watts (although I believe i can get away with 450 Watts)

Feel free to provide as much constructive criticism as you feel neccesary, this entire proccess has been a learning experiance for me. And thanks to any one witth the time to reply!

Changed GPU from Club 3D Radeon R9 270X 2GB royalQueen Video Card-$179.99 to Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card-$189.99

You should get a custom cooler to be able to overclcok the cpu safely eg coolermaster hyper 212 evo

Get a better brand of graphics card - Sapphire

Get 2 x 4gb instead of 1 x 8gb unless your going to get another 1 x 8gb shortly after. Get 1866 instead of 1600 because its only a few dollars more.

If your modem/router is dual band, the get the Asus N53 dual band wifi card.

For a pc with a r9 280x you'll need a pc that will deliver 30A on the 12V rail and a total 550W minimum. Gte a good quality psu preferably from Tier One - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...
