I have had my current build for nearly two years now. It consists of an fx-8120 running on a GA-990-FXA ud3+ motherboard, A amd radeon 7790 hd series video card, eight Gbs of ram and a 650 watt PSU, But as of late I have been having horrid performance on games such as bf4, arma 3 and dayz. When I usually have little to no issue running them. What should I do?

Not much information given. What do you mean by horrid performance? How bad has the frame rate dropped?
Things to check and try:
Current Catalyst drivers for the video card.
CLEan out the computer using canned air or compressed air (no more then 45-60PSI) and or a vaccum: This could be a heat related problem.
Do a complete virus and malware scan (malwarebytes and a good anti-virus program - use a free version if you don't already own one).
Download and install CCleaner (, then run it. let it clean all the stuff it finds. Then click the second icon on the left (Registry) and have it "Scan for Issues": When thats finished select "Fix selected issues" and make sure all are selected; save a back up to your PC and let it run.
Now see h ow your games play. With any luck this will correct the problem. IF not repost and we'll try to offer some other suggestions.
Quick update: It could be your video card is going bad. Do you have access to another vid. card that you could try?
