AMD Athlon Multi Core Processor 760K 3.8GHz Socket FM2

(sorry for my bad english :S)
The thing is I want to buy this CPU to build a PC, later on I plan to buy a graphics card to play some games on it... (because I'm short on money at the time and I need the PC to work)
I am a little concerned because there's a picture of the box in amazon and it says "Requires discrete GPU".
So... do I need the GPU for it to work or will it work without one?

If you are looking for a CPU that has a GPU on it, you will need to go for an APU which means they are combined. So getting an APU would be the best idea in that aspect. Or as smorizio said, you could just get a cheap GPU to compensate until you are ready and able to buy a much better card. You could try getting the Radeon AMD 7750 Hd (~$100-115 dollars) as a seperate GPU or a Force3D AMD ATI radeon HD 6450 (~$70). This is of course all depending on what motherboard you get and if you want to stay with an all AMD build. For an APU, you could get an A8-5600k or A8-6600K. They are $10-20 dollars more than the Athlon that you were wanting but they come with their own decent GPU built in. :)

And one last options, you may get lucky in choosing your motherboard and picking one that have their own discrete GPU on it. So you could either do any of the suggestions previously stated or just do a bunch of heavy motherboard searching in your price range. Good Luck!
