I have a Sapphire vapor-x r9 270x overclock edition. In Trixx, the default setting is:

GPU clock : 1100
Memory clock : 5800
VDDC : 1238
Power Limit : 0

On Sapphire website, it says that the 1100 mhz core clock is the boost version. 1050 mhz is the normal one. I plan to lower the clock to 1050mhz. My question is do I need to alter the other settings if I change the GPU clock? If so, what value should I put on those settings?

Why lower the default clocks? I'd just leave it as is.

Why would you want to lower it? If you want you can just lower it to 1050 but it is totally safe to leave it how it is

Idk, i think i dont need that much 'power' right now. And correct me if am wrong, i heard when you underclock, the temp will goes down and it helps especially in this summer and it also helps the card to last longer.

If 'idk' is all, just leave it. It's made to work at those clocks.

do not down clock directly, lower power target\tdp\power consumption.
i do this with my 780, running at 61% power and a 100mhz oc, then the sofware decide how to delegate the clocks, i think this is the best way of getting lowest temps with highest fps. i even think you can use less power and heat and get same fps.

best thing you can do to cool it down is use a more aggressive fan profile. afterburner is better than trixx for all things.

Ok. I just had the thought to test my GPU at lower clock

fan are loud enough, best use less power and make less heat. below 35%fan speed at full load is good, if you got reference cooler you cant do much sry.

i use my gigabyte oc guru ll, most brands got theyre own software, it on theyre site.
i manage to got my 780 to 1050mhz on 61% power, on full load benchmark\games.
