Hi !!
My graphics card(r9280x) is recommended as ULTRA preset in ign's system req. for watch dogs and i have amd 8320 @ 4GHz and 8GB ram. But i see fps drops everywhere in the game but when the area loads then its fine!.. BUT my friend has a hd 6670 with 4gb ram and intel g2010 @2.9GHz but he gets no lag or fps drop at any place with high settings ( i have ultra settings)
WHY SO?? i also tried to install the game on ssd it caused slight upgrade in performance but not very well . when i drive so fast game reaches 12-15fps otherwise it stays on 30-50fps

They ignored AMD. The only difference between my system and yours is that I rock an FX-6300 overclocked. Same problem... I still should had been able to run at Ultra with decent FPS on my 1280x1024 resolution, but the game stutters a lot and it has memory leaks. They didn't optimise it at all for AMD...

About what's expected; don't see any real anti-AMD bias.

I have a R9 280x(Sapphire Vapor-X Tri-X OC) and the game is playable however... I also have fps performance issues with Vsync on and everything is set to high (Havent really messed with ultra) and my fps ranges from 30-60fps, sometimes it dips below 30fps when driving.
I have i5 4670k@4.5Ghz, 8GB RAM G.Skill Ripjaws X, and the GPU I mentioned which should be able to play it just fine. Like a few people said I don't think this game was optimized for AMD lets just hope some futures updates/patches will solve some of the issues at hand.
