wait for the GTX 800 series, nothing is conformed and if there is, it is subject to change. I would save your money and wait for the maxwell cards!

Yup. Wait and buy the best single card you can afford.

late 2014, early 2015 is predicted.

Buy a cheap GPU now (R9 270 may be cheap for you?), the spend the most you can on a really good GPU later.

Q1 to Q2 of 2015, most likely towards Q2 of 2015. The smartphone industry has reserved the manufacturers of 22 mm chips to late 2014, so once made and shipped then distributed, should be around late to Q1 or early Q2.

I would suggest getting a card now, the prices for cards will be way over what they should be.

I suggest you get a single gtx 780 if you're gaming at 1080p and than upgrade to Maxwell when it come out.

The gtx 780 will be easier to sell than a 760 or 260x when Maxwell arrives.
