Hi,
I was thinking to buy the Asus M5A97 MoBo , but noticed none of the am3+ MoBos have an HDMI output , so I was wondering if the graphic card I buy has an HDMI port , will I be able to connect the graphic card HDMI to my monitor , and wouldn't it look awkward a thick wire coming out of the cabinet????

You should always connect the monitor to the GPU, not the onboard graphics (if present).

The GPU's video outputs are only inches away from the rest of the ports; it's hard to tell the difference unless you know what you're looking for.

Yes, if your GPU has an HDMI port & your monitor accepts HDMI inputs, you will be able to connect it.

As far as a "thick cable" messing up the feng shui of the PC cabinet...the HDMI cable I use to connect our laptop to our living room TV is no thicker than the DVI cable I use to connect my desktop to its monitor. So unless someone is peeking at the back of your monitor or tower, they'll have no idea whether you're using HDMI, DVI, or even VGA.

Little early for a bump.

The ports on your GPU are just ports below the main block of ports. No need to open any side panels.
