I have bios ver 2.30 i see updated versions (up to 2.60) on the web site what would be the recommend update if i did update the bios or keep 2.30. and if i bought 2400 mhz ram could i run that. it showes up to 2400 as a opiton in bios

win 7 ultimate x64
asrock 970 extreme 4,
amd 8150
vengance blue 1600 8gb
seagate 750 hybird
hd 6770 gpu
Rosewill 750W 80 PLUS GOLD

The AMD FX-8150 supports 1866MHz memory with one DIMM per channel, 1600MHz is supported with two DIMMs per channel. Any higher frequencies require overclocking the system.

well unless theres an issue that the update fixes of some new hardware will require it no need to risk it if your running well and have no issues covered in the update why risk it? my board has 3 updates over the one I'm running now but I'm running fine and dandy with the one I got in it now [opinion]
