I stream using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and only have a 1.09 Mbit upload.

When streaming on-line games, my ping is really really high, too high to play games and utilising my full upload while trying to stream an on-line game affects my stream quality badly.

My neighbour has offered to let me connect via wireless to their router.

My question is this:

Can I connect to my neighbours router via a wireless connection to play on-line games, while at the same time use my router (connected via ethernet) to upload my stream?

That way I use only my upload and none of my own download, but use my neighbours download in order to play on-line games.

If you are willing to work on it...and your neighbor must not use the same LAN ip subnet.

What you do is remove the gateway from the secondary connection. You can do this in the network settings or with the ROUTER DELETE command and remove the 0.0.0.0 entry. This will in effect turn off this connection and make all traffic use the other. To use the secondary connection you must use the ROUTER ADD command for each address you want to use the secondary connection and set its gateway to that router. The huge issue with this is if you want to use this for a lot of stuff you will have to key in many ip addresses...and if they change from time to time you have to re do the work
