This is not uncommon. There are several things to try. Not necessarily in this order.

Stand right next to the router.
Clear all WiFi setting on your tablet and try again, making sure you have the correct WiFi password.
Make sure your tablet has the same encryption settings as your router. (Best is WPA2)
Change the WiFi channel and set it to a fixed channel rather than auto select.
Temporarily disable encryption on the router and connect. Then reset the encryption.
Change the SSID and reconnect then change it back.
Turn on the guest network on your router, if it has one, and try that. If the guest network is already on, turn it off.

What happens when you turn off the WiFi encryption and try to connect? Detailing what you steps you took and what the tablet shows might be helpful.

What encryption method are you using?

When you changed channels, which did you choose?

Does the tablet connect at 5GHZ and does your router have 5GHZ capability?

Have you power cycled the router?

I have had the same problem from time to time with my Android tablet. It just won't connect to one access point in my home but it will to others then it just starts working again after sometime. I am not a pro at this and don't know a systematic way to solve the issue. Without further information, my solution would be to add a second access point or replace the router with one that the tablet does connect with.
