Hi,

Since the release of watch dogs was just a day ago, i realised my ram isn't quite up to the task.
.

The old set im using are two 2GB 1333Mhz, http://www.memoryamerica.com/mt8jtf25664az-1g4d1.html

The new ones im trying to put in are Corsair Vengeance LP, 4GB 1600Mhz. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-low-profile-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cml8gx3m2a1600c9

My motherboard is: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55DE_LX/
They are compatible, as you can see.

As soon as i try to start the computer with both of the new ones in it gets stuck at the motheboard splash screen, i cannot do anything at this point.
With ONE in, i can reach bios and check if the computer even notices them, it notices both of them when inserted individually. If i try to start with one, it'll bluescreen with ''irql not less or equal.''
I've tried starting without any USBs and things such.
Old rams are still working like a charm.

I went back to the store and asked them about it and when they tried them they both worked.

You will need to manually set the memory within the motherboard BIOS settings. You can do this by setting it to use the memory's built-in XMP setting, or manually enter the latency and voltage setting yourself. Once you have made the changes, save changes and exit the BIOS. Upon reboot, your computer should now be able to start up Windows with no problems.

Solution
With the new RAM installed, reset your BIOS to defaults. See if it boots that way, with default settings. Then go back into the BIOS and try the XMP settings, but I'd also check for manual adjustments. For example, if the Command Rate has been set to 1T, set that to 2T; IME this has solved a number of RAM problems for me.

Thanks for all the quick replies, as i'm almost close to a braindead zombie when it comes to theese things, i just have to ask, am i supposed to do this all with both of them in, or will just one do? As i cannot even reach into bios with both of them in.

TRied resetting or.. as it says here ''load'' setup defaults, then tried to boot it up, just as before it went to a BSOD saying IRQL not less or equal.

Ive tried changing to XMP. as a result the BSOD changed to "bad pool header"

I conversed with one of my friends earlier and we talked about just format the whole thing and ''start over'' with the new ram, might that be a way which would work?
I'm sorry if it's a very stupid idea to even mention. ;)

Was planning on doing that soon enough, that's the next step.
Though, as i've lurked abit i've come to think that maybe this could have something to do with the CPU?
I'm obviously not very experienced at all, so i'd need someone else to clarify this for me.

This is the one i'm having right now, planing on having it changed soon.

Your ram IS supported for your motherboard.
Since each stick works individually, they should be sound.
Double check where you should install two sticks. It may not be in the obvious slots.
If you can get into the bios, with one stick, you could try upping the voltage on the ram a notch. from 1.5v to 1.55v
Then try it with both sticks.

If all that fails, contact corsair support.

Well, well... Seems like it still aint working. Also tried updating bios. nothing has helped at all so far.

Did get the two of them working abit together, meaning i got into bios with both.
Shows 8gb, however when i started it up it stayed withg good old ''bad pool header'' BSOD.
