I am currently running dual screen off 1 gtx 660. Would it be possible to run my dual screen with 1 on my 660 and 1 off my motherboards inbuilt graphics card? also would the reduced strain on my 660 be worth the added strain from the motherboards gpu? Thanks :)
Edit: forgot to mention that one screen is dvi and one is hdmi, if that matters

You should be able to do that.
But... I tried that and found that a second side m onitor did not affect my gaming on the main monitor when both were attached.

Not worth any effort, I think.

I do tend to use my second monitor a lot for videos while playing games and stuff, i thought maybe if i used my mobos card instead it would help some of the slowdown i get. also, how would i set this up, would i just plug it in and it would work?

Make certain that your motherboard integrated video adapter driver has been installed and see what happens.

Some motherboards will disable the integrated adapter when a discrete adapter is detected. Check your bios.

You could also buy a second cheap graphics card.
That is what I tried.
Good idea, did not do anything though.

As a matter of fact i just changed it in my bios and plugged 2nd screen into mainboards port. Works fine visibility on 2 screens.... now for the effect.....

just nevermind it, dropped my framerate by 30 fps just by putting it on only!

Integrated graphics will consume cpu cycles and some amount of ram to be dedicated to the integrated graphics.
If you are short on either resource, that might be your problem.
