fps improvement running sli.

so i have a gtx 760 twin frozr oc edition from msi. i have had this for a while but i notice playing some games the fps dips pretty low sometimes. so i went out and got another identical card. it not here yet but i just want to know will i see big improvements. i have read mixed things about sli.

system;
i7-3.4GHz
8gig corsair vengeance pro series 2400MHz
1 gtx 760 (atm)
asrock Z77 extreme 4 motherboard.
windows8.1

You should see up to 90% increase in fps in some games but not all games can handle SLI/crossfire well so this is something to consider. Also you might notice in some games that there is a slight lag or stutter even with higher fps and this is due to micro-stutter but is hard to notice for me personally with dual graphics i have seen in the past. yeah that's what i was thinking my self. but the price for performance starts getting stupid with higher cards.
