SO my father passed away and I am trying to make it so my mom can get access to the computer for her own stuff. I made a new partition on the HD with windows 7 and it set up fine no problems. But I have an ethernet cable plugged in connected to a modem. The cable works fine i have tested it out on another pc. I can get the pc or motherboard to register its there. I dont have an ethernet controlled in the device manger as well. I tried updating the BIOS since it doesnt look like its been updated since 2010. But im getting the normal .cap files and putting them on a usb renamed and the BIOS flash update tool is not saying there is any file to update with. Any help with this problem would be grateful. thank you
