Hi guys,
I just got a new graphics card AMD/ATI HD7770 DDR 5 1GB, first of all it showed 7700 series and i was assured that it is 7770 only but then i updated my drivers and suddenly it started showing as R7 200 series.

That's not the worst part, i have just 2 games right now i.e Battlefield 4 and Batman Arkham origins.
Both games are crashing within seconds I start playing (when i actually play and not in the menu).
Please help.
configuration is..
AMD A8-3870k processor
1TB HDD WD blue series
8GB corsair vengeance RAM
Cooler master 500w Thunder PSU.
and graphics i have mentioned above.
Thank you

what driver you should try the 13.4 and did you manually download the driver and install it from that file or did you do the auto update?

I had 13.4 only. But the game said the drivers are out dated. So I updated which is 14.4 I guess.

looking at all the 14. driver issues I guess there just not too good but you still did not say if you did the auto update or not

the game said the drivers are out dated--- so what? I say you need to jump off your roof head first so how well did the game run on the 13.4?

I updated the drives manually.
And the game did not even run on those drivers it said update first and then I can run it.

I don't get that--- well did you try the 13.12 driver and try this where I say new card just remove and reseat your card

start computer as normal-- got to add/remove programs--- uninstall all your old cards drivers and add on programs for the card--- shut down and then reboot back to desktop normally [ i dont like to do safemode here cause it my hide an issue ] and it should be running on the windows default driver to check-- go to device manager-display- right click your card [it may just say generic vga ] - property's - driver - and see that driver provider is microsoft- if so shut down and turn off psu switch unplug it wait a min or so push the power button like you normally do to start the computer to see if its discharged-- [if the computer comes on for like a second or two and dies it now discharged] then remove your old card and install the new card as proper install instructions show for your new card-- when you got everything in order and installed correctly [monitor and all] put power back to the psu turn on switch start up computer normally and let it boot to desktop and it should be running on windows default drivers if it looks good with no issues install your new cards drivers and and reboot as prompted. and hopefully all will be good to go. i like to download the driver from nvidia/amd to a file on the desktop and install it from there

look this over and remove the folder there [AMD] is talking about before you install the 14.4 driver

AMD has received feedback that some users are unable to install the Catalyst 14.4 driver on some motherboards with AMD chipsets. We have investigated the issue and have determined that it was caused by the AHCI driver component that was included with the driver package.

We have therefore removed the AHCI driver component from the driver package and will be providing it as a separate download.

If you were affected by this issue, we recommend you download and install this updated version of the driver.

Before installing this driver, please ensure you have uninstalled the previous driver using the Add/Remove programs option in the Control Panel and also deleted the installation folder for the previous driver. This folder can be found at the following locations:

C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql
or
C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-32-dd-ccc-whql

Okay bro. Do update me if u find anything new.
One more thing. Will it be a problem if I go with nvidia gtx 650ti now? Considering my processor and chipset family.
Which nvidia will you recommend to get the best bang for buck?
