EDIT 2 - Went with the FX-6300 after two people saying to .. keeping the CPU cooler though, can never be too safe :)

Looks adequate for light gaming.

I would get the FX-6300 instead of the FX-4350. That would last you a little longer, and when you are ready for a better video card, would be a better match.

Isnt the FX-6300 a 6 core? I was kind of wanting to stay away from 6/8 cores, as ive heard that more cores dont do a whole lot when it comes to gaming, since games now cant utilize more than 2 or 4. But, i might be wrong, do you happen to know much into this subject?

You dont need the cpu cooler if you are not going to overclock. Drop the cooler and get the Fx 6300 instead of the 4350.

So an FX4300 series chip has two dual core modules, 4 cores. FX6300 series have 3 dual core modules, so 6 cores. FX8300 series have 4 dual core modules or 8 cores.

There are many games out there that will utilize these extra cores today, and now that consoles are x86 based 8 core computers, many more to come.
