Assembling my PC and my RX-530ss wont turn on

Hi I have just started building my first PC and I have my ME I 970A-G43 mobo and the gfx and 4gb of ram connected and my psu plugged in and the 24 pin and 8 pin are also connected but when I flip the switch nothing happens. Please help me!

Thanks for the response and I did as you said and my fan turned on and I was able to toggle the led lighting does this mean it I must assemble everything before it will turn on?
