Hey,

So I'm upgrading from an GeForce GTX 570 to a GeForce GTX 760 (ASUS GTX 760 Direct CU II 2GB) and I'm wondering, how do I know it'll be compatible with my motherboard?

My specs:

Motherboard - ASUS M5A97

CPU - AMD FX-8120

MEMORY - 16 GBytes DDR3

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570.

I have a custom built PC, yet I wasn't the one to choose the parts nor put them together. What am I looking for in the specs of the GPU to it works with my computer?

Thanks!

I know you did not ask but your CPU is going to struggle to feed that card and I am saying this from personal experience. You may consider upgrading to a 8320 or 8350 if you are going to get the gtx760

Is the difference between the 8320 and 8350 large and worth the extra money?

A GTX 780 ti could start to bottleneck the 8320, shy of the best card on the market the 8320 will handle everything else just fine. You can always overclock the 8320 as well.

If you have the budget then might as well go for the 8350, but if not you will probaby not notice a difference unless you are doing 3d renderng or anything highly cpu intensive.
