Hello All,

I'm encountering some issues with my new PC build and I am starting to get really annoyed/worried. Hopefully some of you more experienced users can point me in the right direction. I have listed my components below and my issues are below that.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Okay so I have set everything up physically, double checked all the connections and everything looks good (had a more experienced friend look it over also). I am using Windows 7 N (got a copy from another friend who owns a computer store). Booted up the computer with windows and went in it to look around at the BIOs. Everything looked good based on what the internet has told me to check for (RAM, checking the drive order, etc). Now that I am up and running with Windows I am trying to install all the drivers and updates that came with each of the parts and the regular windows updates.

My Issues:
1. I keep freezing up in the middle of downloading drivers and sometimes even general computer use. This is a total freeze where neither time nor alt+ctrl+dlte has any effect
2. Had one blue screen come up 2 days ago but hasn't happened since.
3. All the drivers seem to be giving me issues with failed installations and downloads.
4. I have minimal knowledge of wtf I am doing and computers are essentially foreign territory.

thanks to anyone with the patience to read this and help out a struggling amateur builder!!

Solution
try downloading the drivers on another disc/flash drive using another PC and then install them from the storage device, make sure to re-install every single driver you can find for your componets
