Hey everyone,

I bought a asus gtx 770 directcu ii and quickly discovered it wasn't being recognised by my pc.

So I quickly researched problems and discovered that everyone elses gtx 770 had a 6 pin connecter and a 8 pin connecter right next to it... But mine only has a 6 pin connecter? No 8 pin?

If anyone can enlighten me would be very much appreciated!!

Sorry, not really comfortable giving out my email. If it really is missing the 8 pin socket then there's clearly something wrong with it, it's not going to work properly, and you should likely return it. As for why it's missing, well I think of a couple possibilities. It could have detached from where it's attached to the PCB (which seems unlikely), or you might not actually have a 770 like you think (there have been a number of cases of 'fake' cards recently). Either way I'd recommend returning it to whoever you bought it from.

Yes legit.... Just one 6 pin connecter on graphics card and a gap next to it, where everyone elses 8 pin is ment to go I guess, there isn'treally any sign of damage, im not sure I can get a picture uploaded on my phone, I can email you one?

I think you 'fake' thing may be correct unfortunately... There seems to be no damage to pcb, there isn't even any holes underneath where it may have gone? It also didn't come with a backplate like it had in the picture.. I'll get onto amazon right away see if I can get it refunded or changed, thanks for your help.
