This Speed Fan software is ruining my life right now.
Super confusing, I tried my best to make it work, I don't have patience with this program anymore.

1) HOW DO I RESTORE DEFAULT FAN SETTINGS? Even if I close Speed Fan, my fan speed stays the same...
2) HOW DO I GET IT OUT OF MY LIFE? Is uninstalling enough or do I have to delete more files?
3) If you will try to convince me to use it, save your time, I'm not gonna use this software anymore.\

Please HELP!

Hi. Use REVO uninstaller. It is free and will clean it out.

Didn't work! made it worse!

Now it is uninstalled, but my computer keeps the fan speed low, and my temps are as high as 60C and my CPU is rated 62C MAX!

Please help ASAP :o

go into your bios and make sure it is set for automatic fan speed control or something similar to that.if it still has a low fan speed unselect automatic fan control and see if that makes a difference. one last question, these temps, are they idle temps or under load?

What are you using to monitor your temps?

What processor are you running ? A little information about your computer would be helpful including the motherboard make and model # .

- AMD FX 6300
- Overclocked since months, very stable, now I have a problem with the processor itself because of Speed Fan (I'll explain in a sec)
- Gigabyte 97A DS3P

What I did:
Since Speed Fan is being a b*tch, I just messed with it and now a tleast my CPU isn't near 60C. After more settings and changing stuff around, my idle temps are fine at 30C.

Problems I'm having:
- No matter what setting I set the fan speed at, it always instantly makes my fan run @ 100% as soon as the temp touches 50C....How do I make it stop doing that?
- After all this bs, this problem came: If I just click a link or anything, my temps raise from like 30C to 45C for a second, then go back. Seems fine eh? NOPE. I browse a lot on the web and open apps here and there, and my fan is going from 600RPM to 1000RPM constantly! I shouldn't have these huge temperature jumps by just opening a website.

I tried changing my Vcore and multiplier (I'm not OCing anything else atm) and still same problem occurs.
Yes, I know either my MB os not good for OCing or I got a bad chip but here is my CPU info: 4.3Ghz runs at +.200 (before all this) stable. Now I changed it one increment down to +.175. Same problem as before, but not as hot and probably unstable if I kept Prime95 on for like an hour. I'm scared by the temps and don't want to go back...

Any suggestions please? :/

Ok. One more question. what cpu cooler are you using ? When you said you were using Hardware Monitor, I am assuming you mean HW monitor ? If not, then try HW monitor. That is the one I use. Oh, what case are you using ? Just curious, to get an idea of air flow through the case.

It sounds like Speedfan is another program that doesn't know what to do with TCTL.

An Understanding of Temperature on AMD CPUs and APUs
Does HWMonitor say your CPU/APU temp is 70C when idling but your CPU socket feels cool to the touch? Is Core Temp only reading 10C but it's not possible because your room is 28C? The reason is that these and other 3rd party programs are not... See full content
