my card is fairly old but still running well.
but the problem is the temp and it seems it is getting hotter( may be due to age).

now can anyone please tell me why the red marked temp is so much higher and its physical position on the card?( i am assuming the vrm which covered with thermal pad) and what can i do to lower it?

this is bugging me for quite some time but i did not find any clear answer and i did not care much as i heard 5850 temp upto 95 c is ok. but this particular temp is not the temp of gpu and this was recorded while playing sc2 at low settings and even 90 % fan speed cannot lower the temp. i am terrified to think about the temp i will get if i try to play on high or ultra. currently i just pulled the card out of the case out of fear.

i live in a hot weather country and at summer time my room temp remains at 30~32 c( the situation right now is worse) and i don't have a\c in my room.

my casing is a crappy thermaltake v3 with only the back exhaust fan attached.

i am a casual gamer but still without the gpu it just isn't right.

so any help in this regard will be appreciated.

thanks
