can a processor (or motherboard and other components) not support graphics card and cause processor thermal trip.

Yes, it depends upon your motherboard. If it doesn't support your graphics card, it will not boot !
and what is meant with TRIP part ? your PC suddenly shuts down or what ?

yes it shuts down with beep sound. i read some posts it means the cpu shuts down itself to avoid overheating.

Most likely new GPU overheats the CPU. Classic problem

Simple solution: Leave case open
Complex and costly: Buy a new case with better cooling

Also you can check bios and raise the temperature at which it shuts off. Its safe because the cpu has its own thermal protection. You just need to loosen up the CPU protection from the motherboard.

If it shuts down with beep sound, overheating is the most probable issue here.
Try what emdea22 said.
Also clean up the fans of your CPU and GPU too.
