Drilling power supply outside casE?

My dell Optiplex 990 small form factor has small long slim line 240w psu ireplaceable.
can the shopkeeper drill the psu outside the casing? will it be safe?

well i will keep the side cover open and drill holes in the red boxes and remove my old power supply

ME LIKY. The only problem with that is you'll also have to drill the PSU too. The way its built you will not be able to use its connections unless you drill holes in the oposite side of the psu OR use the holes the keeps the PSU connected. In either case you lose the warranty on the PSU and possibly in the first case you damage it.
