Acer x223hq keeps turning off

So as the title says, I have an Acer x223hq and it just keeps turning off. It shows the Acer logo, quickly shows desktop then turns off and then back on again only to do the same thing all over. Anyone know anything about this?

Yes, it is a monitor, the pc is fine, it's just the monitor that keeps turning on and off.
Also, the monitor belongs to a friend of mine who asked me to take a look at it.

I tried both inputs, same result.
It does not have an external power supply, also I just opened it and nothing looks "broken".

I've done that aswell, tried 3 different power cables, 2 vga cables and 2 dvi cables. So it's definetley the monitor. I will be getting a multimeter in the next few days and will check that all the components are working.
