Hello, I haven't been able to access Facebook on my laptop for a couple of days, though the desktop through the same router works fine. I've rebooted the laptop and the router and reinstalled Java just in case. I've searched for answers and although other people seem to have had the same problem occasionally, I haven't found a solution that works. (I've pinged FB to and that's OK)
Thanks for any ideas...

What error do you get? Make sure your date+time is correct.

I would suggest running spybot and malwarebytes and then change your password for facebook.

Thanks all. The message I get is an unhappy face saying 'this webpage is not available'. I can't get as far as putting in my username or password. The date and time on the computer seem OK. I'm not sure I can use Spybot as I have Norton 360.

Verify that your date and time, including the timezone, are correct. Also, before trying to connect, clear your Internet browser caches (temp files/history). Then try to reconnect to FB.

OK, I've done all that - but still have the unhappy face (mine too)...

Neither Chrome nor Explorer work - those are the only two I have.

Hi,
I've now downloaded malwarebytes and run it but... still the same message that the webpage is unavailable. And only for Facebook.
Oh dear. Thanks anyway.
