I have read that 32 bit is going with x86 and 64 bit with x64.
Well my system says 64 bit operating system but in my program files says x86 .
So is that possible?
In a 64 bit operating system there are two program folders. one is program files and the other is program files x86. The latter is for 32 bit programs.

x86_64 (64-bit) is backwards compatible with x86 (32-bit) programs. These are stored under "Program Files (x86)". Native 6-bit software is under "Program Files".
