Virtual PC Anyone?

Was just advised to install a virtual pc to my new macbookpro and feel apprehensive. I need this capability, but don't want to damage the new machine in the process. Has anyone here tried this successfully? If so, what are the pro's and con's. It just seems risky. Any feedback would be appreciated.

  1. VMs are completely safe. They just create ordinary files on your hard disk. VMWare Fusion is probably the best choice for a Mac, or VirtualBox if you want a free solution.
  2. VMWare Fusion did the job! Perfect. My boss informed me he has 6 VM's on his Mac. And, a guy at the coffee shop recommended the cloud-based desktop offerings. Much needed. Thanks.
