Hello. I have at my home an Alice Gate VoIP+(AGIF_1.3.0) modem, which I have for almost 3 years. It originally used to work without any related problem, until one day, when no device was able to connect to its wireless interface. So I've got down to business and tried a couple of things. The first thing was the standard restart, with complete unplug for a couple of minutes. Did not worked. Then came to my mind it might be the encryption key, possibly being changed because of some hardware fault, again it was not that the problem. Lastly, I connected to its control panel using the Ethernet interface to change the wireless channel, which originally used to be 11. Learned that the channels 1, 6 , 11 and 14 did not overlap in presence of other devices using one of those channels, so I choose to use the 6 one. And it worked! It worked until the next day when the same story happens. Did the same operation, changing back to 11 again and it worked for that day then again didn't. I want to know what is happening here, is the modem faulty or just some bad configuration. Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

Likely you are correct in assuming the modem is failing/faulty. If it worked for 3 years fine, you changed the Wireless channel and was able to get it working again briefly, sounds like the Wireless portion is failing.

Probably yes. It hasn't done this before... time to get a new one then.
