Whenever I connect my second r9 270x my computer slows down and starts crashing (programs stop responding). Sometimes it won't even load Windows (Black screen with cursor). I am using a HIS crossfirex bridge.

What I've tried so far:
- Using any of the 2 cards alone (On any of the 2 slots)
- Deleting CCC completely (using driver sweeper)
- Switching between drivers 14.4 and 14.6 (beta)

I don't know what to do. Help please, I'll accept any suggestion.

My specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3.0 GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel H87M-D3H (It reads Crossfire ready)
GPU: AMD Radeon VisionTek R9 270X 2GB GDDR5
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB 1600MHz
PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro M2 850W

That is really weird I have two r9 270s and they run flawlessly. Have you considered reinstalling windows?

Anytime I have a problem like this a fresh install helps. Your system is almost exactly the same as my system you really should not be having problems running those two cards. I would do the fresh install and all new drivers if that does not fix the problem you can start looking at hardware problems. I seriously doubt it is a hardware problem its more than likely software

IIRC the 2xx series cards don't use bridges?

Blazin, only 295x don't. Still any other suggestions? If nothing works I guess I'll reinstall. Also, I should just get a fresh copy of Windows or delete all my hard disk?

Actually, only the 290 and up don't use bridges. :)  Do a fresh Windows install, it was the only thing that helped my dual 290s.

Is my problem common though? Maybe my gigabyte lied and now it won't support crossfire! I even updated bios. I will do a Windows fresh instal though. Any advice?

Also, could my screen be causing any of this? I use a cheap Sankey TV.
