I'm not entirely sure if this is the right section, but hey.

I recently downgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 7 on my Asus X551cap laptop, everything worked fine until I had to run Winloader. After I did that, it gives me driver 0x80(lba).

I tried it again just by re installing it, didn't work. It'll load the first time, after I run the install from my USB but once I restart it won't boot from the HDD.

I've looked at a few places and some have said to use the "repair your computer" function when you load the bootable USB which I tried using the command "bootsect /nt60 ALL /force" and it then booted but once again once I restarted it, it gave me the error again.

I've seen a few different websites, but I don't know what to do at this point. I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to computers but most of what I've read looks like gibberish to me.

It says I can use tools like Active Kill Disk, Gparted and one other; How would I use these without being able to boot into Windows? Is there something wrong with the ISO image, or something wrong with the HDD?

I appreciate any responses, thanks!
