Crossfire 270x or sell for single card?

I currently have a PowerColor Devil R9 270x and it works great. 60+ FPS in all games on the highest settings (except for games like BF4, of course). I now have about $275 extra money to spend on upgrades, and I was thinking I would get another 270x and run them as Crossfire. My fear, however, is that a lot of people warn about micro stuttering.

Is micro stuttering really as bad as people make it out to be? What other complications may arise with Crossfire? Does it make sense economically to purchase a second 270x? Should I just sell my current graphics card and get a more expensive card with more money (if yes, which card should I get)? I'd love to hear your feedback.

Depends on what you can sell your card for. AMD cards are flooding the market from all the crypto-coin people now selling, which means lots of cheap cards, and lots of people weary of buying used AMD's because they are used for mining and therefore could be fairly used and damaged. I'd list it and see what you can get for it on like craiglist or whatever is big in your area. If you get any takers, then see what that price + your $275 will get you.

It would appear that similar used 270x's are selling for $150 in my area (which is kinda what I predicted). That would leave me with $425 to spend on a new card. I'm guessing my EVGA 500w wouldn't be enough for a higher end card though, so if I were to upgrade to a new card, I'd probably have to get a new PSU as well. The PSU is the same age as the graphics card, so perhaps I could get some money for that as well (idk why anyone would buy a PSU off of craigslist though XD).

I would have plenty of money left over for a PSU if I Crossfired (I probably would even get a better case, seeing as I'm using a rather crappy Antec One). If I went with a single card upgrade, I would theoretically have around $425 to spend on both a card and a PSU (though perhaps I could get money selling my 500w PSU as well).
