Purchased the msi r9 280x gpu and was wondering if i really need to overclock my i5 2500k 3.3ghz to stop any bottleneck or can i save money in not overclocking it and not purchasing a special cpu fan.
Also my motherboard is a P8Z77-V Lx2 and i was wondering if it is perfectly fine for this gpu. my aim is to play bf4 and the likes on ultra for at least 1 year 2 if im lucky.
Thanks community for any answers.

P.S if a overclock is needed what would be suggested ghz to aim for.

Stock i5 2500k isn't bad for current games. You would lose 8-10 fps difference from a stock i5 4670k at 3.4 GHz.
Overclocking isn't a bad idea either but there is no bottleneck at all with your gpu. Its just the clock speed difference and the architecture differences.
