Hello! I'm a new user, as you can see. I have not been able to find an answer to my problem anywhere.
So I figured I'd finally ask.
I'm not the richest fellow, actually I live in a comfortable level of poverty. So when I finally got a second monitor for my GTX 650, I was not happy to realize... It was the wrong one. My 650 has three ports. A VGA, a DVI-D Dual link and an HDMI. My second monitor is VGA, as is my first.
So. Today, I picked up a converter, set everything up, made sure all the wires were connected, untangled, and functional, and sat down to run the setup.
And here's my problem. My second monitor, which is running on a DVI-D Dual link to VGA converter, is not working. Not even being detected.
And I know this monitor works because it was my old one. The only problem is a few areas of dead pixels.
I've already set my BIOS so my Graphics card is my priority, instead of my internal one, and tried multiple methods of finding the problem. But alas, it is as if the monitor is not even plugged in.
I'd LOVE if you could help me, so thank you for your time.

Update: Solved. It's just not possible without spending more money then I have!
