CPU running at full clock rate

Greetings everyone...

My laptop CPU is running at full clock rate most of the time, thus my CPU temps are high all the time (Sometimes exceeding 91 degree Celsius). Weird thing is that the usage is mostly between 7-21 % .

Could anyone help me figure out what's wrong with my laptop ?

Hmm, this could potentially be a virus, have a scan to see if it picks up anything. Also, it maybe time to reapply some thermal compound to the CPU but you could take it to the local store unless you...

Hi, make sure that your power options are set to Balanced or Power Saver
