Hello,
I'm trying to install Windows 7 Proffesional on a brand new SSD (Samsung EVO). It's being detected in BIOS and set to ACHI.
When I enter Windows7 installer it says it can't find a driver for current disc and when I insert a CD that came with SSD it can't find anything.
Can anyone help?

Solution

You may have the SSD connected to the ASMedia controller by mistake. I think it will work without a driver, if you connect it to one of the Intel ports.

So I should get the first one from SATA section here http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Rampage+IV+Extreme&os=30 unzip, put it on CD/DVD and use that disc when Windows 7 installer asks me for driver? If it doesn't work - Is there a way to install a driver before Windows Installer kicks in?

PS: all I have is a single USB drive, no floppy
