Hi,

I have recently bought a custom build PC and have struggled with constant crashing and Blue screen when playing PC, although when i use programs such as Adobe After Effects i have had no problem with rendering what so ever. An example of this issue is when i play ArmA2's DayZ mod i experience blue screen crashes after playing about 40mins. I downloaded Battlefield 3 last night off the Origin Website. When starting the game it ran beautifully, i adjusted the graphics to ultra and no image lag. It all ran smoothly. After playing for around 15 mins the game froze and i could not alt tab or ctrl alt delete quit it. I had to hard restart the game. I started the game up again but turned the graphics to low. 15 mins later the same issue occurred. I hope someone can help me I am getting desperate to find the issue.

Side note: i have returned the computer once already back to the guy who built it but received it back from him and he said that there was no issue with it but obviously there is.

just to ask did you download this driver ? http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/75991
beside while installing it gives you 2 options i think its like "Express/Custom" pick custom install and do the clean install make sure you are on "windows safe mode" as for a clean install
check for the Event viewer >> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-event-viewer#1TC=windows-7
seek out for Critical/Errors/Warnings

expand the list ,check for last hour issues that occur after your game crashes ,double click on the error then copy w/e written under "general tab" and post it on google and read , however if you don't have any issues that's great , just give it...

could you check your CPU heat while you're playing the games ? use this software to check it , "play the game +let the program open and alt tab check your temp"
http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

also check your CPU USAGE with task manager , ctrl+alt+del >>> task manager>>>process , check if any program have a high use of your CPU
let us know :) , thanks.

Hi Azizinum

Thank you for your suggestions and sorry about the time it has taken to get back to you. I ran all of my games up until they crashed while simultaneously watching the temperature using real temp gt as suggested along with the cpu monitor on a second screen. Unfortunately no obvious spikes in the cpu or huge temperatures. The highest recorded temp was 47 degrees C. I am starting to think this may be a ram issue but i am not sure. The crashing of games can now sometimes occur within a few minutes of the game loading. Please feel free to offer any more suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

Cheers

I built a computer with similar specs but no problem...your error is probably in graphics card drivers or a low quality RAM (most likely the graphics card.) I would reinstall the drivers, and if you never did install them, you are using default windows drivers which are horrible. I would uninstall those and replace them with drivers from the company that makes them.

i agree with tharve4007 , try downloading the last update for you GPU driver and see how thing goes with you , if nothing good so far atleast we know its not the CPU heat neither the GPU driver issue.

So i reinstalled my graphics driver and still no luck... :(
I ran a system health check and it registered that graphics hardware failed. I think it may be time to take it back to the shop that i have purchased it from. If anyone has anymore suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

additional options for video settings in the game+outside the game
open your Nvidia control panel , i recommend those settings after having alot of crash issues to my PC ,did read them on forums
keep in mind i use 1 monitor .

as for the game options focus on the anti aliasing 1st , stick with the MSAA ,disable the FXAA in games ,Vsync disabled+trible buffering disabled.
see how things goes with you and let me know if you see any errors on your Event report ,preferred you check the errors after the PC crash as to read last issues "play the game crash the PC then open the Event viewer and check"
