Faster in terms of boot time and loading during game times. I found an intel 320 120gb ssd for cheap (55$). Is this a fast drive? Is there another drive that is considerably faster that doesnt cost upwards of 80$? Thanks

If you're upgrading from HDD, you will notice the increase of performance in your system with almost any SSD. I just changed my laptop's HDD for a cheap LiteOn SSD (these are used for Dell's laptops, i chose it because my laptop is Dell) and is great. The responsiveness feel is just excellent, boots quickly and all programs start almost instantly. I really don't need more than that.
If you want the best SSD, i think the Samsung 840 Evo or Pro will do the job. Look for benchmarks, the random reads and writes results are the numbers you want to see, sequential reads and writes are not real-world enough. Just make sure your system is compatible with TRIM, this helps the SSDs don't wear too quickly.
