I am having trouble getting four Dell laptops to communicate through a Cisco router without connecting them to the internet. I am trying to create a Local Area Network with these laptops, in which users of these laptops can play an emulated game together without connecting to the internet. I have connected ethernet cables from each laptop to the Cisco router, and the router and the laptops are powered. I have tried to figure how to get these laptops to connect to each other, and I cannot figure out any other options. The operating systems on the laptops are Windows XP, and I am not sure how exactly how to "create" a Local Area Network using this OS.
