I have been using my q6600 overclocked on g41 mts2p mobo for about month now..(from 2.4GHZ to 3Ghz)I am not sure whether this mobo could be used for O/C ing. Will my Mobo die sooner than its lifetime because of O/C ing?
As you can see - 49C is too high for idle. Gaming and testing (via Prime 95) temps will be even higher. Probably too high for Prime 95 to actually run. So you're overclock won't be 'stable'. You won't be able to continue to use it. Drop your overclock till your idle temp is under 40C.
As ColGeek said - you need a real good cpu cooler to be able to overclcock properly. And as I said - the G41 chipset mobos are not made for overclocking.
Idle 49C load I dont know exactly but around 75C..PSU brand Powerful 500W..memory 4GBx2 Dual channel 667mhz..they are not O/C ed..And gpu is Gtx 660 oem it is not O/C ed but i have uploaded a better BIOS..
It is stock cooler..Nope I even couldn't find proper a link.but it has 6 pin connectors in it..seems like a good one..but this should be it http://prod.danawa.com/info/?pcode=1097263

and by stable you mean?i played theif, assassins creed BF without any crashing, BSODS..my mobo supports 1333MHZ fsb and since i overclocked the q6600 now works @1333MHZ fsb...
It's old and sounds like its not in very good condition. I would suggest not spending any more money on it and trying to save to buy something a bit newer.
Yeap..i hope to buy an i5 with overclocking capabilities..Can you recommend me a good mobo and a cpu?for around 250$.it doesnt matter if it is used.I should be able to use it for about 2-3 years...
I personally dislike amd..few years back i had an amd athlon processor and it just died..no reason.then i bought a duron. it too died...now i am hesitated to buy AMD products...
