Hi guys, I've just bought an Asus X200ma.
I'm getting crazy here…I want to completely remove Win8 and install Win7 and Ubuntu.
How can I do that? I'm trying many things but it seems impossible! I have Win7 on usb.
Thank you very much in advance

Most people won't do this but if I was in that situation I would boot up from a version of linux on flash drive I would completely wipe the hard drive and format it as ntfs and than I would boot from win7 flash drive and install win7.

I tried but it doesn't let me boot it from usb, it goes automatically on win8. I tried to change it in the bios: fast boot is disabled and boot option #1 is setted on usb but still doesn't work

While you are in windows 8 type in advanced startup options. It will be under the settings tab. Click on it and click advanced startup, it will restart your pc. Before doing this make sure the usb is already plugged in. Click the restart now button and you should see your usb or something that says flash drive or usb. Boot from it and see what happens.

Good Luck :).

woops, learned to read. Ok then. I would boot up in ubuntu then wipe windows 8 of your HDD, having done that I beleive you can install windows through ubuntu. Ideally you would just connect your pc to another pc and wipe it from there

I am actually able to start ubuntu from usb now! Should I delete all the other partition in order to wipe off Win 8, then install Ubuntu, then delete again, then Win7 and add Ubuntu on a new partition? Geez!
Again, I would love just to have Win7 and Ubuntu on this laptop.
Thanks

Ok I was able to wipe the hard drive through Ubuntu liveCD. Now I have 2 usb flash drives, one with Ubuntu and one with Win7. If I start the laptop from the flash drive on Ubuntu everything works, it shows me the screen where to install Ubuntu. If I start from the Win7 usb it shows me the BIOS screen! How come? Maybe the flash drive with Win7 is defective?

To dual boot from ubuntu and win7, win7 needs to be installed first. You can install ubuntu first but it would just make installing windows 7 more difficult. If booting from a usb isn't working for you try booting from a disc.
