I don't even know why people bother unless you go SLI;

Even with triple 1080p screens and vram usage above 2GB, there is no difference. This is however explainable, The 4GB model actually can use up to 3.8GB of it, but by the time you require over 2GB Vram, the GPU core itself is already struggling making the extra 2GB useless, offering little to no difference at all.

I regret not have bought a 4gb version or my 770. I intende to get a better monitor (for college, graphical design), and to game in a bigger resolution I'd need more vram. Btw, Watch Dogs, which is already out, already asks for 3gb+ for textures on ultra (I saw that requirement for 1080p here).

Partly why i went with a 280x with 3Gb.

The 4Gb Nv cards seem to be a lot more expensive for only 2Gb more ram.
You could get a 4Gb 290 for 10% less than the cheapest 770 4Gb, and the 290 will definitely be faster.
